DAY 1 : NJP TO LATAGURI [2 HRS DRIVE]
Meet & greet on arrival at NJP Rly Station and proceed to Lataguri for Dooars Trip. Lataguri is the gateway of Gorumara / Chapramari Wildlife Sanctuary and a popular tourist destination for adventure loving tourist.
Check in at the hotel and enjoy lunch. Post lunch visit Gorumara National Park located in Dooars region with grassland and forest. It has been declared as Wildlife Sanctuary in 1949 on account of its breeding population of Indian One Horn Rhino. Enjoy the Gorumara Jeep Safari and meet the jungle king of Gorumara – the One Horn Rhino. Overnight at Hotel in Lataguri.
DAY 2 : FULL DAY LATAGURI SIGHTSEEING
Wake up early in the morning with squawk of peacock which you may see playing around your resort. After a sumptuous breakfast in the morning start your Dooars Sightseeing Tour. Visit Murti, Tiyabon, Samsing, Suntalekhola, Jhalong, Paren, Bindu and Rocky Island.
Murti – A small village beside River Murti flowing down from Neora Valley National Park in between Gorumara and Chapramari National Park.
Samsing – An amazing place covered with cloudy hills. It’s the best place for nature lovers.
Sultanikhola – Another tourist spot with abruptly rising hills and small streams.
Jhalong – A tiny hamlet on the bank of river Jaldhaka in Indo Bhutan border. This place is famous for its cool and calm nature.
Return back to your resort/hotel in the evening. Overnight at Lataguri.
DAY 3 : LATAGURI TO JALDAPARA [1 HR 45 MIN (82.9 KM) VIA NH 17]
Wakeup early in the morning and after breakfast move towards Jaldapara National Park which is one of the main attraction of this Dooars tour. Jaldapara is the gateway of Jaldapara National Park situated at the foothills of the Easter Himalayas in Alipurduar District of Northern West Bengal and on the banks of the Torsa River. Today, it has the largest home of the Indian One Horn Rhinoceros in the state of West Bengal.
Enroute we will cover South Khayerbari Tiger Rescue Centre, a rescue centre for Royal Bengal Tiger and Leopard. Evening is free for enjoying activities like Barbeque, Tribal Dance at the resort. Overnight stay at Jaldapara Tourist Lodge or Hollong Tourist Lodge.
DAY 4 : JALDAPARA FULL DAY SIGHTSEEING
Rush to the Jaldapara Elephant Riding Point. Each elephant accommodates four people and takes the tourists through a wide trench and bumpy pathway of the core dense jungle. Crossing picturesque streams along the way, the highlight of the safari is a wet grassy land where if luck permits, one can witness the one horn indian rhino in all its glory. Throughout the Jaldapara Elephant Safari, the Indian Peacock, deers, wild bisons, and wild boars can be seen.
Proceeds towards Jayanti a river-side forest village in Buxa Tiger Reserve of the Dooars region of West Bengal, India. It is often called the Queen of Dooars, with the Jayanti River flowing like a precious necklace. Jayanti is perfect destination for Jungle trail and birds watching. Enroute covering Buxa Tiger reserve Forest, Buxa Fort, Mahakal Cave.
Evening is free for enjoying activities like Barbeque, Tribal Dance. Overnight stay at Jaldapara.
DAY 5 : JALDAPARA TO NJP / HASIMARA DROP (124 KM – 4 HRS)
Today, experience the Jaldapara Jeep Safari early in the morning. Just like the elephant safari, this safari takes you in the depths of the dense forests of jaldapara. Starting from the jungle main gate, it takes tourists through the muddy roads within the forests for a sighting of the great one horned rhino. After breakfast start for NJP.
